Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Bauernhansl is the Director of the Institute for Industrial Manufacturing and Factory Operation (IFF) at the University of Stuttgart, and of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Engineering and Automation IPA in Stuttgart.
Previously, he spent nine years within the Freudenberg Group, where his last position was Vice President Global Process Development. Mr. Bauernhansl completed his PhD at the Department of Production Systems of the Machine Tools and Production Engineering Laboratory (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University.
Franz Kook was the Chief Executive of Duravit AG from 1991 to 2011.
He began his career at Duravit in 1970 and contributed to the company’s current strong market position. Alongside his professional career, Franz Kook is involved in several associations and organizations, notably acting as Deputy President of the Southern Upper Rhine CCI and President of the German Ceramic Industry Federation.
Dr.-Ing. Karl-Heinz Schiefer was the Chairman of the Board of Carl Leipold GmbH from 1982 to 2012.
During this time, the company evolved from a turning shop into an industry partner. The integration of HORA and Täfler along with a strengthened international orientation helped Leipold to achieve further growth.
